Lessons

I just wanted to go for a walk, that was all.
I carefully opened the front door, making sure nobody heard me open it and then I slammed it on the way out and headed for the hills. I didn't realize I had rocks in my pockets and shoes at that point. When I finally got them all out I began running again, to the point that I was beginning to lose my breath, and then I fell. I didn't see anything that I may have tripped on, so I figured I must have just slipped. I got back up to start running, and boggled down to the ground again. How weird, I thought. I got myself back up and started running and of course I fell again, tumbling to the ground even harder the third time. 'Third time's a charm' my ass. I looked around to see what I had tripped on. Nothing.

It seemed as if
there was an invisible string or fish line
of some sort
making me fall every so
often.
That's life, I guess.
